A night of Indian

One of my favourite Indian dishes of all time has to be the classic Butter Chicken. Paired with basmati rice, this chicken dish has so much flavour in it. I remember the first time trying it and said to myself that one day I have to make it on my own. Here is that day, and I just gotta say that it was absolutely amazing

For Prep I started By washing the basmati rice several times.

Then I began Chopping up the onions, I will admit I used a slap chop and still end up getting those horrid juices in my eyes..

I wish it came out more perfect but using that slap chop cut down the time by a lot so i guess it was worth it

Now begins the cooking!!!!

I begin by cooking the rice since that is suppose to take the longest(which wasn't true in this case)

It looks gross but this is the rice inside the pot just after I added it. they say that beauty comes from ugliness, its defiantly true in this case.

I heat up oil in a pan and add the onions and the garlic and ginger puree until the onions start to brown

In a saucepan I heated up the rest of the oil and mixed in the cream, cayenne pepper, garam masala and tomato sauce for about half an hour on medium heat. I didn't add salt, but if you think it's not flavourful enough you can at this point

Now mix the sauce with the onions and garlic.

Dice the chicken and put in a pan with heated oil.  By this time you will want to add the frozen broccoli to the chicken breasts and place a cover on that for at least 10-15 minutes or until the chicken's not pink anymore.

The rice should be done and taken off the heat and placed somewhere out of the way and right about now is good to add the butter sauce to the chicken and stir it up

Everything is so close to being done, If i were you I would start setting out the dishes and checking the chicken to make sure its ready.

This is when everything is done and you should have a seat at the table and enjoy the wonderful creation you made

Here are all the finished pics of the glorious food that I had made and will post how to actually make everything right after the pictures.

Well there you go, everything came out just perfect I tried my best to take good pics and this was the best I could possibly do at this time. Better pics will follow in later posts. Here is the recipe and work-plan so that you can make it yourself if you want.
