Youtube trickery

So I was on youtube today and i noticed people where saying " hey everybody, add "gift" before youtube in the address bar to enter a contest". so I was skeptical at first, maybe this is a trick like being rick roll'd or the meat spin trick. well i noticed it was on every video i was clicking on so i thought maybe it actually might be real. so I did it and it brought be back to youtube but with something at the top, and it went something like congratulations, you have entered the contest, but first you must post on how to get here 5 times in three minutes, being the idiot i am i did it. well nothing really happened so i left youtube for a while. and 5 minutes ago i went to youtube again to find a video and it said i have broken a violation with spam and i could be terminated off youtube. so i started getting all pissed and i was trying to figure out how they did this, it must of been a mirror of the website or something cuz in a way it was kinda smart. they prob got like half a million people kicked off youtube. screw you hackers
